Rare opportunity to taste ALL Glenlivet Cellar Collection whiskies

July 22nd, 2008

On October 10th, you will want to be in San Francisco. That’s because we’re pulling out all the stops for WhiskyFest San Francisco this year. For the first time ever, all of The Glenlivet Cellar Collection whiskies imported to the U.S. will be available for tasting in one place at the same time–and for a good cause too! Charity!

The Glenlivet Cellar Collection whiskies are rare, old, extremely limited and quite expensive vintage releases carefully chosen from the Glenlivet warehouses. They are selected one vintage at a time. One is released every couple of years. All have been quite good. Some, like the 1959 vintage, have been absolutely amazing!

The owners of The Glenlivet have kindly donated one bottle each from their stash for our charity tables at WhiskyFest San Francisco. Every time an attendee makes a small donation to charity (amount and charity TBD), he or she can sample one of the vintages.

Five vintages have been released over the past decade: 1959, 1964, 1972, 1983, and the recently released 1969 Vintage. All will be at WhiskyFest San Francisco.

The Glenlivet now joins The Macallan and Glenfarclas in providing an opportunity to taste extremely rare whiskies at WhiskyFest San Francisco for a good cause. You can find details on The Macallan and Glenfarclas whiskies on my previous post back on July 9th:

All of these whiskies are so rare, for most of us, this will be the only opportunity to taste them. Here’s more information on WhiskyFest San Francisco and how you can purchase a ticket:

I hope to see you there.

Breathless, I am, and envious of those who will be attending this milestone event! Damn that 3000 mile separation! When you gonna do this in Chicago??

  2. John Hansell says:

Sam, you mean that I haven’t given you enough reasons yet to buy that ticket and fly out to SF?

  3. Aaron says:

Please save some “stops” for NYC! SF is a bit too far from Albany.

  4. John Hansell says:

Aaron, I will do what I can. SF is just a four hour or so plane ride away…
