WhiskyFest New York Panelist Gerry Tosh
Global Marketing Manager
Gerry joined Highland Distillers in 1998 and worked across the Group’s brands until becoming Highland Park’s first global brand ambassador in 2002. He was the youngest person to be invited to become a ‘Keeper of the Quaich’ and since then has created a legendary reputation for his straight talking, fun-infused approach to whisky education. His army of foot soldiers, or brand ambassadors, now cover around 60% of the world and are committed to spreading the word on Highland Park.
After nine years at the helm of Highland Park’s award winning brand education programme, culminating in becoming Global Brand Ambassador of the Year in 2010, Gerry took up the post of Global Marketing Manager in 2011.
Whilst still tasked with building relationships with the drinks trade, spirits writers and whisky enthusiasts wherever they may be found in important export markets, Gerry now oversees the brand’s marketing strategy and programming across the world.
Away from work Gerry’s hidden talents include rugby – he represented Scotland at youth level – and he also enjoys the occasional round of golf and playing the guitar.
Gerry’s favourite Highland Park single malt is the 1977 Bicentenary.
