For me, few drinks say sophistication and luxury quite as surely as well-assembled, sherry wood matured single malts. This seems especially true when given the chance to settle down in a comfortable armchair by the fire with the latest issue of Whisky Advocate and a glass of something rich and alluring by your side. Labradors and Cuban cigars are optional. Here are nine of my personal ‘go to’ sherried scotches, though the list could easily have been so much longer.
