New Macallan, New ChivasSeptember 21st, 2007
I have been invited to two new product launches in New York over the next several weeks. The first one is Friday, September 28th. Everything is “hush hush”, but it is at the New York Public Library. The invite is formally from “His Grace, The Duke of Argyll”. It’s a black tie event and also features the music by Diana Krall. The invite promises “an evening of luxury to celebrate the worldwide launch of a global icon.” Something big must be brewing to throw a party of this magnitude.
The second one involves The Macallan. I have only received a “save the date” email so far, not a formal invite yet, but there’s going to be a big launch in New York on November 7th. The email I received only stated:
“I wanted to let you know that The Macallan has a very big launch coming up on November 7th in New York. We’ll be getting you the full details in a couple of weeks, but we wanted to give you the heads up. The liquid is very special and incredibly rare, so we’re keeping the event very small and only extending invites to a select few journalists. Of course, we want to make sure that you mark your calendar early so you’ll be able to join us for this experience.”
Okay. Twist my arm. I’ll go to both events. (I’d better dig deep in my closet and look for that tux.) When I know more, you’ll know more.
