You can now comment, so give it a try!

November 20th, 2007

Okay, I give in. I’m opening the blog up to comments. People are emailing me about my blog comments because they can’t comment on the blog site. (I get the hint.)

Let’s use this posting as the test posting. I know a lot more about whisky than I do blogging software, so we might have to iron out a few bugs.

Give it a try. Send me your thoughts–about allowing comments, or anything else about “What does John Know?”, good or bad. Comments will be allowed starting with this posting, going forward.

I set it up so that any new authors must have their posts screened by me before it posts. If it’s your first posting and there’s a slight delay, this is why.

Let the commenting begin!

Thanks guys. This morning, I said to my technology savvy 15 year old daughter, “Hey, I finally beat you to something. I have a blog and am now allowing comments too! You wanna see it?”

With a “duh!” expression on her face, she looked at me and said, “Dad, I have Facebook, ya know!”

    Good Lord, I’m feeling old.

  6. Joe Maissel says:

Very glad you’ve opened this up. Look forward to reading the blog even more. Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. Neil says:

I’m not sure how this blogging works but I have a question:

Someone told me that the Glenmorangie Madeira Woods & Sherry Woods etc. will not be available anymore afer they finish the batches. Is this true?

  8. John Hansell says:

Neil, Madeira and Burgundy Wood expressions have been phased out. Sauternes Wood expression has been added. I have all the details in an earlier posting on my blog. Go back to the August archives — John
