Dark in the glass, syrupy and rich on the nose, this blend of Kentucky and Indiana bourbons comes from the father-and-son team of Rick and Ricky Johnson, who used their popcorn business as the kernel of inspiration to make whiskey. Big notes of caramel and cocoa powder are soon joined by orange marmalade and clover honey on the palate. That sweet bomb is tempered by a spicy snap of licorice and some black peppercorns, with a chewy finish.
