Aberfeldy 26 year old Languedoc Red Wine Cask Finished, 52.2%

Part of Aberfeldy’s Exceptional Cask collection, this was finished for just over 2 years in red wine casks from the Languedoc appella- tion in southern France. You’ll spot this influence immediately: The nose is ripe with strawberries, mulled wine, orange peel, fresh lemon, and vanilla. The palate is creamy and bright with lemon curd, but there’s also notes of dried apricot, orange zest, and peppery spice. The long, flavorful finish, complete with plum tart, candied nuts, and more fruit, ties this up nicely.
