This rare bottling from one of Diageo’s workhorse distilleries shows off a Highland malt that typically ends up in blends. On the nose, there’s a banquet of fruits ranging from pineapple and a hint of passion fruit to ripe blackberries and blueberries. The palate is peppery, with a noticeable zing from the proof. It opens up with water, revealing honeyed oats and brioche, with lightly toasted oak on the finish.
