Black cherry, rowanberry, charred oak, pronounced black tea, and dried herbs on the nose. A great pick this year by Ashok Chokalingam, this 7 year old bourbon cask-matured whisky begins with flavors of caramel, singed oak, ripe peach, nectarine, apricot, black pepper, and clove, followed by apple peels, almond, creamy caramel, cherry, and stewed fruits. The rich finish offers chocolate, tiramisu, and oak char.
