This Texas single malt starts ashy, with peat coming out full throttle on the nose; there’s new leather, iodine, freshly poured concrete, beach bonfire, and gunpowder, with just a whisper of sweetness lying underneath it all. The palate brings those sweeter notes closer to the surface, eliciting toasted marshmallow, candied orange, and burnt sugar. On the finish, a delightful melding of sweet and peat.
