From this Texas Hill Country-based distiller, finished in madeira casks from Haak Winery near Galveston. Red fruits and vanilla on a nicely aromatic nose. The palate offers char, smoke, charcoal, mesquite, and fruit sweetness. The structure is thick and rich, with a lot of punch that might make water preferable.
