Smoldering peat smoke, black pepper, smoked venison, barbecued herbs, lemon peel, and clove on the nose of this bourbon barrel-matured peated whisky. It’s intensely flavorful; malt, butterscotch, melted chocolate, and peppery smoke, then crisp green apple, baking spice, chocolate chip cookies, and ginger as it dials up the smoke. A mouth-drenching finish of green apple and smoke; with water, orchard fruit and star fruit appear. (239 bottles).
