Lebanese single malt produced by Riachi Distillery. Licorice, dried vine fruit, cigar wrapper, nutmeg, root beer, unsweetened chocolate, and aromas of dry, woody cask extractives, so let it breathe a while. Chocolate, sweet baked orange, and pepper as the alcohol peaks, then honey, nut butter, and maple syrup. A root beer bitterness develops, with licorice, oak astringency, and sour woody flavors, with a finish of aniseed and cough syrup. Cedar and new oak make for an overpowering combination. (241 bottles)
