Backbone Bourbon Prime Blended Bourbon (Batch 15), 54%

From Indiana’s Backbone Bourbon Co., a blend of different ages of bourbon and straight rye, with a small amount (0.5%) of 16 year old light whiskey added. An arid nose of freshly filled grain silo, plus refreshingly light fruitiness and grape jelly. A spicy palate also offers notes of orange and grapefruit, canned pears, cherry cough drops, and baked apple. A nice long finish that’s flavor-packed and full, with depth and balance.
