Balblair 17 year old Traveller's Exclusive, 46%

Initially matured in bourbon barrels, then finished in first-fill Spanish oak butts, this is a great find. Aromas of cacao, juicy raisins, walnut oil, prune juice, nutmeg, and a hint of clove indicate the sherry wood has worked its magic. Luxuriously thick on the palate, with flavors of chocolate muffin, heather honey, toffee, hazelnut, and bramble. The finish is lengthy with residual spices, oak, and dark chocolate.
