The Spanish oak finish has imbued this copper-colored dram with aromas of baked apple, fudge, forest honey, rose hip, pecan, and ground cumin, supported by earthiness, licorice, singed oak, and a drop of Worcestershire sauce. Rich, nutty, and cognac-like, with fruitcake, vanilla pod, stewed fruits, baked apple, more rose hip, earthiness, and bitter oak, with a finish of pepper, clove, and menthol lozenges. Complex and thought-provoking whisky.
