The aromas of this whiskey sourced from Connacht Distillery open with red currant, fresh nectarine, rose water, and raspberry, bolstered by macaroon, white pepper, and honeydew, mingled with notes of bubble gum, modeling clay, and envelope adhesive. It’s warm and fruity, with flavors of red currant, raspberry, strawberry, spicy pepper, chile flakes, rose hip, Turkish delight, and cotton candy. This has vastly improved from the early bottlings, and deserves a second chance.
