This blend of 9 to 14 year old bourbons spent 17 months finishing in California-based Silver Oak cabernet casks, giving it a fruity and chocolaty nose. Chocolate-covered graham crackers and dark red fruits rise from the glass. On the sip, there’s cherry cordials, vanilla extract, raspberry jam, and butterscotch syrup. The flavors are dense and the fruits are punchy, but the whiskey manages its proof well. The finish is long, with chocolate cake, chocolate-covered strawberries, and sweetened coffee.
