On the nose this is light but delivers a broad bouquet: Sweet corn, lemon peel, and lime all rest on a backbone of wood sugar and barrel char. The palate is like a fruit basket: cherries, candied orange, and pears, but more so a fruit snack quality pervades. The aroma and flavor of new oak holds this whiskey back a bit, and the finish borders on bitter.
