At 7 years old, there’s lots of age on the nose with pleasant whiffs of leather, oak, and tobacco, as sweet vanilla pokes through. It’s lively but shows the best effects of maturity. The palate is rich and viscous, with tons of chocolate—it’s a real chocolate bomb. The finish is good, with candied notes then returning to aged tobacco, leather, and oak. High proof, but carries well; it’s an excellent one.
