Tart red fruits dominate the nose in the form of watermelon candy, cherry Airheads, and dried raspberries. The palate is smooth and creamy, with peppermint spice, chocolate pudding, and black pepper. With water, it fills out well: espresso, bitter chocolate, and candied almonds. The finish is the best component, with chocolate-covered peanuts, allspice, and toasted rye. It’s youthful, but the composition is satisfactory.
