This 54 year old is fruity and smoky, there is an initial burst of peat smoke and plum on the nose, followed by butterscotch, vanilla sponge cake, grapefruit peel, ripe peach, cookie dough, smoked orange peel, clove, soot, and mint. Flavors of green apple, vanilla shortbread, honey, lime zest, and a spritz of orange peel oil, then shredded ginger, peat smoke, and green tea. The finish is lengthy and drying, with salted caramel, fading smoke, and herbs. (130 bottles)
