Like walking by a bakery in the early morning, the nose yields all sorts of yeasty goodness: freshly baked bagels, Irish soda bread, shortbread cookie, and stroopwafel. A light creamy palate evokes chai tea, Honey Nut Cheerios, and strawberries and cream. Earthier notes emerge on the finish (somewhat a surprise, given that this is finished with a combination of toasted, charred, and apple brandy barrel staves), bringing to mind green tea with honey and matcha latte.
