Bushwood Black Label Stillwater Single Barrel (Batch 1), 47.5%

Bushwood’s first release of Stillwater rye leads with a generous nose of French toast, maple syrup, brown sugar, and a hint of baking rye bread. This rye is corn-heavy, with a mashbill of 51% rye, 45% corn, and 4% malted barley, and the caramel corn, vanilla, and chocolate orange notes on the palate reflect the grains’ influence. As the sip develops, anise, caraway, and tart apple cider emerge. The finish is peppery and chocolaty, fading evenly.
