On the nose, this wheater is reminiscent of a bake shop and confectionary, with sugar cookies, butterscotch syrup, and fudge featuring prominently. More subtly, there are cracked leather and burnt oak notes adding some complexity to the largely sweet whiskey. The palate is roastier than the nose, with oak and salted caramel coming to the fore and fainter notes of cherry and apple in the background. The finish is drying and oakier, with coffee-like tannins.
