Buzzard's Roost Double Oak, 50%

After 4 years in new oak, this is finished in “proprietary casks,” creating a bourbon that carries prominent oak aromas and flavors without becoming overly woody or tannic. On the nose, there’s French vanilla ice cream, toasted allspice, cinnamon candies, and charred oak. The palate is well-spiced with more cinnamon, Dr Pepper, and campfire embers. The finish is moderately long and honeyed, with a kiss of barrel-char bitterness.
