At less than 40% ABV, this one is technically not a whiskey, but it succeeds admirably. Caramel, maple syrup, and canned sweet corn on the nose, plus dried herbs and mature oak. Water brings out confectionery notes of coconut candy and candied orange peel. Rich chocolate and caramel on the palate, with more sweet coconut. Great depth and maturity. A lengthy finish completes the journey. A surprising gem.
