Peppery smoke, kippers, olive oil, a sprinkle of sea salt, and Spanish Queen olives on the nose of this peated whisky, which was made at Loch Lomond Distillery. Mouth-drawing with fruity taffy, red apple, strawberry, olive oil, and pepper. The fruitiness wanes to the flavor of a well-sucked hard candy. Drinkable at cask strength, and after experimentation, preferable without water.
