Cask 88 Ruadh Mhor 8 year old, 63.3%

This is peated Glenturret, with a nose of allspice, peppercorn, fresh oak, bicycle innertubes, grilled fish, hot smoke, lemon curd, and cotton candy. At cask strength, it is mouthdrawing and intensely peppery, with flavors of barley sugar, orchard fruit, brown sugar, and oxidized apple peelings. Add water, then add some more. Diluted, it’s more manageable, with banana chews, crème caramel, and hints of coffee and chocolate.
