Matured in bourbon barrels before its four- cask finish with the sherry, tokaji, and moscatel barrels used for unpeated malt and the pinot noir cask for peated. Despite the different styles of wine casks used in the whiskey’s finish, the malt is unified and coherent. The nose is sweet and jammy, with blueberries, raspberries, and creamy vanilla ice cream. The palate is well spiced, with apples and chocolate taking center stage. The finish is long and dominated by chocolate.
