Chattanooga Bottled in Bond Spring 2019 (Batch 23E03R), 50%

This 2019 vintage is an opulent pour, layered and complex from beginning to end. The nose is sweet and nutty, and overflows with baked desserts: Candied walnuts, almond cookies, and vanilla glazed poundcake waft from the glass. The palate shows excellent balance with toasted sugar, glazed doughnuts, and root beer spice. Weaving through the sweet notes are subtle spices like cinnamon and candied ginger. The finish is long and rich, with toasted oak and caramel.
