At Chattanooga’s Experimental Distillery, there are always new trials at play, and its latest run with rye proves a roaring success. Finished in the distillery’s own amaro barrels, this rewards with pleasant must on the nose, as if walking by a bakery in the early morning; eventually, notes of sawdust, monkey bread, cloves, Juicy Fruit gum, and paper bag join the fray.
