For its first 7 years, this was aged in used barrels, then it was finished in new oak for 18 months. The result is a whiskey that gives off aromas of sweet cornbread, cherry cola, and apple cider. The palate turns sweeter, with candied apples, chocolate cake, and French toast. The whiskey’s unique journey finishes with cinnamon and a strong hit of oak.
