The nose brings dried grasses, Shredded Wheat cereal, seasoned oak, grist, peanuts, five spice, and green herbal notes. The overall impression is dry and lacking much sweetness, though it’s keeping that in reserve. Sweet mandarin orange, honey, clove, and pepper on the palate, with even sweeter grain notes breaking through, then marzipan and Victoria sponge layered with raspberry jam. A sweet smooth finish sees the return of fir fruitiness.
