Claxton's Tomintoul 8 year old Tawny Port Cask, 50%

Subtle attractive layers of soft fruits: black cherry, blueberry jam, baked orange, heather honey, and ground pepper. Black cherry, blackberry, allspice, and aniseed on the palate, with coffee grounds and milk chocolate. This has a lengthy finish of spice and black cherry. Some complexity is evident, but the port cask is firmly in charge of this young whisky. (48 bottles)
