Connacht Single Malt, 47%

This first single malt release from Connacht is a commanding debut with notes of lemon peel, barley, dried flowers, honey, and vanilla, then green foliage, baby cucumber, white pepper, and aniseed balls. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks, there’s a mouth-drawing lemon acidity to the palate, with vanilla, fresh spices, creamy custard, honey, banana, and aniseed, with a finish of lingering spices and walnut bread.
