Dalmore 2009 Select Edition, 48.9%

This exquisite 15 year old single malt was matured in bourbon barrels before being finished in a combination of matusalem and amoroso sherry casks. The nose is fragrant, redolent of stone fruit, clemen- tine, rose water, and clove. The mouthfeel carries a delicious creamy roundness to it, and sumptuous flavors of flourless chocolate cake, red berries, caramel, and candied nuts coat the palate. On the finish, nice gingery heat, wood spice, rich chocolate, and red fruit linger on and on. (Release date: 11/24)
