Dark Arts Whiskey House 8 year old Barely Legal (Batch 22), 58.1%

From the cutting-edge blending house founded in Lexington, Kentucky in 2023. Named for its mashbill’s “barely legal” corn content of 51%, with the rest comprised of rye and malted barley. It starts out somewhat closed on the nose, and doesn’t reveal much. On the palate, however, sweet orange and vanilla are accented by peppery spice. The finish is nice and long, with excellent flavor integration that really shines through.
