Deanston 18 year old, 46.3%

Matured in bourbon barrels for the full 18 years. The nose has sweet lemon, oiliness, and vanilla ice cream; overall, a lovely patisserie aroma underpinned by chalki- ness and minerality. The palate is luscious and fruity, with candied pineapple, sweet mango, baked cherries, apricot, and melon. Length and sweetness on the finish, but like the nose, it has great flavor variation and terrific balance between underlying minerality and sweet fruit. (Release date: 10/24)
