The new American oak finish gives this whisky a crisp and inviting nose, with orchard fruit, honey, some punchy oak, and a drizzle of caramel syrup. The palate brings pear tart, apple cider, and vanilla fudge, highlighted by grassy grains, toasted peppercorns, and a hint of white grape juice. The finish is short and to the point, with dusty grains, more tart cider, and mulling spices.
