Spending its final 4 years in an oloroso octave made this a sherry bomb of a single grain, and why not? The nose is indulgently fruity with date, plum, gingerbread, molasses, cinnamon bark, and hints of dark chocolate. The palate is drenched in rich sherry notes, with flavors of fruitcake, vine fruit, and cherries. There are baking spices, fig, date, clove, pepper, and cola on the finish. Add a dash of water.
