Roasted nuts, honey, vanilla, dried cherry, plum, citrus peel, and white pepper on the nose, but the fruit is somewhat restrained. Initially, there are flavors of fruit chews and tangy citrus peel as the cask-strength alcohol peaks, falling back to reveal flavors of honey, marzipan fruits, apple, and nutmeg, with candied peel on the dry spiced finish. A splash of water brings out sweet butterscotch candies and stone fruits with the citrus peel.
