Eagle Rare’s oldest whiskey yet. The mellow nose exudes eucalyptus, orange peel, apricot, cinnamon, vanilla, and mellow aged oak, while the palate offers orange marmalade, maraschino cherries, baked plums, vanilla, and pepper spice. The texture is smooth, the flavors are rich and undiminished by age, and the oak is ever-present but by no means overdone. On the contrary, it exerts a gentle influence and lends complexity. A major achievement for ultra-aged American whiskey.
