Elijah Craig 21 year old Single Barrel (No. 62), 47%

Price: 300 ● Issue: Fall 2026 ● Reviewer: Shane English ● Category: Bourbon/Tennessee Whiskey

This stately bourbon is unapologetically oaky, proudly showing its age. On the nose, beyond oak, there’s crème brûlée, fruit salad, and overripe banana, giving depth to the woody aroma. The palate is surprisingly fruity, with raspberries, blueberries, and peach cobbler, plus toasted oak and leather in good balance. The finish starts with a generous spoonful of brown sugar and cinnamon before gingersnaps, mocha, and tannic oak linger on the back palate.
