Mellow and soft on the nose, it doesn’t scream rye. The palate is also soft, with notes of raisin cake and sassafras, then soft sweet chocolate; mellow and very well-integrated. Nicely balanced overall. Still soft on the finish, and with excellent balanced sweetness. This one might actually be a bit too sweet for fans of spicy ryes, but most rye lovers, and whiskey lovers in general, will like it.
