On the nose, chocolate orange, cherry cordials, cinnamon, and black pepper mingle. There’s a faint herbaceous quality, too, with whispers of tarragon and mint adding extra depth. The palate is chocolaty and rich, with marzipan, glazed doughnuts, and mixed nuts. Apples, cranberries, and cinnamon emerge with water. The finish is short, but the flavors are excellent: sweet tea, charred oak, and peppery spice.
