The barrels lost 61% to evaporation over the 15 years before Buffalo Trace bottled this punchy bourbon. Hot on the nose and hot on the palate, Stagg takes water well, revealing a sweet and fruity nose with berries, vanilla milkshake, and chocolate-covered cherries. The palate maintains the fruit with a toasty and earthy undercurrent of pepper, ash, and humidor. The finish is powerful and long. (Release date: 10/24).
