A lot of olfactory complexity on display here, with raisins, mixed nuts, clove-studded baked orange, heather honey, sesame oil, and a hint of long-aged balsamic vinegar. At cask strength, there’s a surge of spice on the palate, preceded by molasses, dates, raisins, figs, and peppercorn, followed by walnut, chocolate, and seasoned oak, with mocha and pepper on the finish.
