Glengoyne Oak Masters' White Oak, 48%

On the nose, this is tart and citrusy, with lemon verbena, passion fruit, and fresh cheese- cake. The palate is candied, showing gummy orange slices, sugar cookies, salted caramel, and a bracing sprinkle of pepper. The influence of the new oak barrels comes through more clearly on the palate and finish, where vanilla and a hint of charred wood poke in around the edges. The finish fades moderately and leans into rich caramel. (Release date: 3/25)
