Glenlivet 12 year old Jamaica Edition Jamaican Rum Cask Finished, 40%

Tropical notes of lemon and lime, candied pineapple, brown sugar, and sweet oak on the nose. The palate is sweet and light, with crème brûlée, sweet cocoa, honeyed peaches and apricots, and ripe pear slices. The mouthfeel is viscous up front and full of sweet fruit, though it fades somewhat on the finish—too light despite some exceptional flavors. Jamaica meets Speyside; a whisky that will also cross over to rum drinkers.
